Man Adopts The Dog That Saved His Life (Video)

This video shows the true bond between animals and humans.  Layka, a bomb sniffing dog working with the military in Afghanistan, saved the life of her handler.  She was shot several times at point blank range, as  a result she endured several hours of surgery and lost one of her front legs.

The man whose life Layka saved felt he owed it to her to take care of her as she’d taken care of him.  Layka is now a member of his family, and this video shows the special relationship she has with them.
