Does Your Pet Hate Halloween?

I was reading Real Simple magazine earlier today and found an interesting statistic:  According to the National Retail Federation, last year Americans spent an estimated $310 million on Halloween costumes for their pets.

In any pictures I’ve seen, the pets in costume have an expression that says “I hope none of my pet buddies see me in this get-up!”  Pet owners love their pets, why put them through the Halloween costume ritual?

The item in Real Simple went on to name the favorite pet costumes:  pumpkin, devil, hot dog and bumblebee.  Do these sound familiar?  Do you plan to dress your pet for Halloween?  What will be the costume?
