The Spirit of Bo, returning to enlighten and inform his faithful readers:
So…you have been a dog lover/dog owner most of your life. You love everything about dogs, but now you are in the process of becoming a cat owner because of certain life changes. Perhaps you have moved and your new place does not allow dogs. Perhaps you work long hours and find the independence of cats to be more conducive to your schedule than the more constant needs of a dog. However, your dog-loving heart is feeling a bit of guilt for changing allegiances, and you are not even sure if you are a cat person.
Well, I have some great news. There are actually many breeds of cats that are prefect for dog lovers. In fact, we think that some of these cats actually think they are dogs! But, you be the judge.
Here we go…in no particular order…(and with special thanks to pawnation.com):
Burmese: This is a loyal and loving cat that loves kids and also craves your attention. You will never be at a loss for adoring companionship with this one!
Chartreux: This cat rocks a great attitude. Playful and fun loving, he loves to play games; can learn to fetch; and will also learn to know his name.
Bombay: A cool mix of adventure and affection, this cat can be leash trained and will easily learn to play fetch. When it is time to unwind, he loves to cuddle.
Abyssinian: This is the star athlete of the feline kind. His high energy level translates to plenty of playtime fun. In exchange for your attention, he will repay you with love and kindness.
Birman: This cat is as laid back and easy going as he is out going and fun loving. (Sounds like a Match.com profile, huh?) He is even-tempered and willing to just go with the flow as needed. His gorgeous coat means less grooming for you than other long haired cats.
American Bobtail: This cat is all heart…and smart and sweet, too! He loves to play with toys and is always ready for a game or two. At the end of the day, however, he is ready to cuddle and snuggle. He is very loyal to his owner and adapts easily to new surroundings and situations.
Well, that is it for me today! It is always fun to pop back in on occasion and say “hello.” Make it a great weekend!
