Chicken Dog Treats

I was talking with a friend this morning and she mentioned she had a lot of chicken she needed to use. I told her one way to use it was to make dog treats. Here’s a treat recipe with only four ingredients, you’ll also need a blender or food processor and a food dehydrator.
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, no cinnamon
1/2 cup fresh chopped spinach
1/2 banana
Put all ingredients in blender or food processor and puree until mixture becomes a thick paste. Drop by spoonfuls on dehydrator racks (smaller spoonful for small dogs, larger for large dogs). Heat on high for 3-5 hours, depending on size of treats. To determine doneness, treats should be hard on outside, soft inside. Let treats cool on racks when done.
Store in airtight container and refrigerate up to 2 weeks. They can be frozen if kept longer than 2 weeks.
Feed 2-3 treats for small dog, 4-5 for larger dogs.
You can substitute proteins using turkey instead of chicken, if your dog likes cooked green beans they can be used instead of the spinach.
