I found an article recently on teenvogue.com showing the most popular 2016 pet names.  Some of the names are the same for dogs and cats, but there are quite a few differences.

The trend to name pets human names rather than the traditional Spot, Bowser or Fluffy continues.  Interestingly, you will probably see some of these same names on the most popular baby names lists for 2016.

Toward the end of the article are some of the weirdest names they came across. I imagine you’ll shake your head as I did when you see them.

Before selecting any of these unique names for your pet, keep in mind the teasing they may have to endure from other dogs at doggy daycare, the dog park or other pets in your household.  Your pet may get even with you when you least expect it!
