Is Your Pet a Lawbreaker?

I was doing some reading yesterday and came across these crazy laws regarding pets.  They were so odd, yet funny, so I thought I’d share.

• In Belvedere, CA a law states: “No dog shall be in a public place without its master on a leash.”
• Ventura County CA has declared that it is illegal for cats and dogs to mate without a permit.
• In Hartford CT it is illegal to educate dogs.
• Illinois law states that it is illegal to give whiskey to a dog.
• Being a toy poodle, my dog Jessie (a blogger here) was dismayed to learn it is illegal to take a French Poodle to the opera!
• In Fort Thomas, KY it is unlawful for dogs to molest cars.
• In Oklahoma, dogs must have a permit signed by the mayor in order to congregate in groups of three or more on private property.

Make sure your dog is aware of these laws so he can keep his record clean!
