How Sweet it is When You Keep Your Pet’s Teeth Fresh and Clean!

Bolt, Yorkie-Poo guest blogger and doggie dental health know-it-all:

Roughly 65% of pet owners do not concern themselves with their pet’s dental health.  That amazes me.  I mean, would you not brush your own teeth?  Could you go for days, weeks, months, or even years without cleaning your teeth?  No! Gross!  So…why should you neglect your pet’s teeth?  In keeping your pet’s teeth clean and healthy, the rewards are so sweet:

  • Your pet’s breath will smell so much better, as the brushing removes that nasty bacteria that causes the odor. (I was once accused of having bad breath that smelled similar to the new tire department at Sam’s Club!  That caused a temporary emotional scar!)
  • If you regularly brush your pet’s teeth, your pet will be happier and have a healthier mouth.  A healthy mouth greatly affects the entire body.
  • Do you like to save money?  Well, if you brush your pet’s teeth on a regular basis, you can space those routine veterinary dental visits further apart.
  • Medications aren’t cheap, either, but if you make sure to keep your pet’s teeth clean and healthy, he will most likely require less medication for future physical ailments.
