Give Your Dog an Easter Egg

Even though your dog can’t have eggs of the chocolate variety, eggs are a very good source of protein and other nutrients for your pet. There has been quite a bit of controversy as to whether feeding raw eggs is harmful. Raw eggs can carry salmonella so be cautious when feeding them.
Jessie loves scrambled eggs (just the egg, no seasoning or shortening added), so I mix some with her dry food 2-3 times a week. As with any change in diet, feed only a small portion at first to be sure your dog’s system can handle it.
If you’ll be cooking Easter brunch tomorrow, share an egg with your dog!
Have a great day!
