BlogPaws-Second Day

The impending hurricane arrival didn’t stop the activities yesterday at BlogPaws. The day started with a presentation by Heidi Ganahl, founder of Camp Bow-Wow. She explained how the concept started, and the sometimes difficult, painful path she took to get where she is today.

There were more great workshops on subjects like guest blogging, making better videos and engaging your audience to grow readership for your blog.

At lunch, artist BZTAT and dancer Miah Thornton presented a short program about Okey’s Promise, an initiative started to increase awareness of the link between animal abuse, child abuse and domestic violence. More information is available at Okeyspromise.com

In between sessions there was time to talk with other attendees, visit with some very cool pets, and check out vendor booths. I will be posting pictures from the conference in the next couple of days.

I learned a lot of things from the workshops, and from other attendees that I will be implementing in the very near future. I look forward to BlogPaws in Salt Lake City next year!
