Client Spotlight-Gigi
As we enter into a new year, our first Client Spotlight of 2011 is Gigi. Gigi is a six month old Yorkie that is full of energy! She is Joy of Living’s youngest client and loves to play with her toys, go for walks and hang out with her big sister Veronica the Rottweiler. Gigi also has a doggie brother, German Shepherd mix Chandler.
Gigi became a client when she was only 10 weeks old, so I’ve had the chance to watch her grow up. She is a handful, but is lots of fun and a total joy to have as a client!
Gigi and Joy of Living would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy and prosperous 2011!
Client Spotlight-Brutus
Our client spotlight this month is Brutus. He’s an 11 month old bulldog that loves to play tug of war and fetch. At
the time we started working together, Brutus walked quite slowly and struggled to complete our route. It’s been a little more than a month and Brutus is walking with a spring in his step and we are taking longer walks. Brutus is a lot of fun to work with and a real joy to have as a client!
Client of the Month-KC
Meet KC, a 14 year old Lab mix. She was the star of a post a week or so ago, and considering she’s a special girl I thought she deserved the monthly title.
KC is quite unassuming, hanging back while her two dog sisters Maggie and Smokey vie for attention and food. She doesn’t move as far or as fast as them, but she does have her own style. KC still enjoys getting out for walks, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the neighborhood…..in KC’s view, slow and steady goes the race.
Although considered a senior dog now, KC still finds the joie de vivre that makes her a joy to have as a client!
Client of the Month-Ike
Meet Ike, a 9 year old tabby. He is very social, loves to be petted and play with his toys. He is very aware of everything going on around him, often sitting by the window watching the activity outside.
Ike has a healthy appetite, so he’s quite a big boy, but he is still very quick as I found out when playing teaser toy with him. He managed to catch the toy more times than not.
He was quite curious about my camera, and was quick to pose when I asked him to…no accident he’s so photogenic. :)
Although Ike is quite the social boy, his kitty brother Julius is the opposite. Julius is a “kibble ghost”, there are signs he’s been out and about but remains hidden when strangers come to visit.
At Joy of Living, we love our kitty clients!
Client of the Month-Jasmine
Meet Jasmine, a 9 year old Dalmatian/Rottweiler mix. This girl is a ball of energy, you’d never know she’s 9!
Jasmine LOVES to play laser light and is hoping to get started as a disc dog that competes in frisbee contests. This girl is an incredible jumper!
Although she sports a pink collar she is a bit of a tomboy and can compete with any of the boys on the block!
Jasmine really enjoys treats and loves life! She is lots of fun and is a joy to have as a client!
Funny Pet Tale
Zoe Faragher, from Rosebud, Australia sent this story about her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Matilda who is very small and Bonnie who is twice her size. Matilda is known all over our neighbourhood as the “socialite dog” as she loves to escape to “parteeee with all her furry friends”. Anyway our neighbours have just put up a new 6ft fence – so problem solved – NOT.
Miss Bonnie decided she would help Matilda escape. I wondered where they had gone – as it was extremely quiet. And lo & behold Miss Bonnie was furiously digging a huge tunnel under the fence whilst Miss Matilda sat there waiting. Only took 3 seconds and Matilda was off – as I called her back Miss Bonnie decided she was in BIG trouble and tried to escape too. However she could not fit – all I could see was her rear end & tail wagging furiously. Where is a camera when you need one?!
